It is an efi system and the grub2 version is: % grub-install -V grub-install (GRUB) 2.02~beta3 The menu entry is obtained by the following script in /etc/grub.d/ /etc/grub.d/43_custom_xen It's attached (largely mutuated by the one I use to boot the Arch Kernel without Xen) I do apologize for the top quoting in the preceding mail: I was on my mobile.
