You can dynamically (and temporarily) add one using xm, no need to
change the config unless you want the CD drive to be attached
permanently.

Usage: xm block-attach <Domain> <BackDev> <FrontDev> <Mode> [BackDomain]

e.g. xm block-attach domu1 /dev/cdrom /dev/xvda r

or if you use virt-manager you can do it through the GUI.
