[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-users] configuring a desktop system?
Hi,To date, I've used Xen only on servers - without installing X- or any window manager. I'm not installing Xen on a desktop system - as a platform for testing/evaluating a variety of different network management packages - most of which require X-, GUIs, etc. I'd like to be able to create a DomU for testing purposes, install some software, play with it, then throw the DomU away and repeat the process multiple times. Which leads to a question: how do I install a X- and Gnome or KDE into a DomU so that everything works properly? (Conceptually, I can understand setting up Dom0 with a GUI. I'm less clear on how it all works for DomUs). Suggestions? Pointers to documentation? Thanks very much, Miles Fidelman -- In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In<fnord> practice, there is. .... Yogi Berra _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
