Hi,

I have a system running XenServer / XCP on Debian (v4.1[1] on Debian wheezy)

There is a Windows XP instance running as a HVM domU

When I try to power it off, even with GPLPV shutdownmon in the domU, it
complains:

xe vm-shutdown name-label=winxp1
You attempted an operation on a VM which requires PV drivers to be
installed but the drivers were not detected.
vm: 7c74d2cd-b7b1-44ec-ab3e-56047be12fab (winxp1)

It was discussed[2] on the win-pv-devel list and suggested that I could
just send an ACPI power button signal to shut down the guest. The guest
appears[3] to have ACPI support.

How do I send the ACPI button signal with "xe"?

I tried using "xl" and got

# xl
ERROR: A different toolstack (xapi) have been selected!

and running

# /usr/lib/xen-4.1/bin/xl button-press thp011 power

doesn't appear to give any output or do anything.

Regards,

Daniel
